Oracle Cloud Platform - Infrastructure Designer
One of my clients based in Havant, UK is urgently looking for an Oracle Cloud Platform - Infrastructure Designer for a 6-12 month contract.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of Cloud Platform Design, Configuration, Implementation of Services within an Oracle Cloud Tenancy covering PaaS and IaaS
- Responsibility for Creation and Delivery of Platform Engineering Artefacts for Project and Programme Solutions
- Ensuring IaaS and Infrastructure technology solutions are designed in accordance with enterprise and technical architecture guidance, using approved design patterns where they exist, and to ensure optimal solutions and fit to business objectives
- Ensuring compliance with PaaS IaaS Cloud security best practice and adherence to Security Architecture and Policies in force, and proposing security methods to close gaps that may be evident in existing solutions or implementations
- Translation of requirements into Platform and Infrastructure technical solutions.
- Technical design of Cloud IaaS and PaaS components in data driven Cloud and Hybrid Eco-System encompassing Platform Service Instances, Compartments and Containers and connections to Networking Infrastructure.
- Subject Matter Expert in engineering Oracle Cloud Platform Service PaaS, Infrastructure IaaS, Networks VCN VPN and Security AM inc. IDCS, RBAC, ABAC

- OCI, Oracle Cloud Platform Service PaaS, Infrastructure IaaS
Desired skills*
- Solid experience employing security tools and encryption for Networks, WAF, NAT, DNS, Firewalls, SSL/TLS, SSH, SHA & RSA, with security scanning, monitoring and alerting
- Implementation of API Gateways employing restful services, LoadBalancers, Web and AppServers [Weblogic], OIC Integration, Process Orchestration, Message and Transaction Processing, ADW, DBaaS, and Oracle Analytics
- Experience in building and deploying Oracle Cloud Infrastructure as Code [Terraform] and DevOps tools [Gitlab, Github, Jenkins, Docker, etc]
