Spring Engineering, part of the Adecco Group, is delighted to be working with a world leader in the manufacturing of missiles and missile systems. Our client is looking to appoint a Manufacturing Controller to be based at their facility in Stevenage.
As the Manufacturing Controller you will be responsible for issue, receipt and management of stores and inventory in a stores environment. Loading, control and monitoring of work packages in a manufacturing environment.
Contract - 6 months
Pay rate - £14.50 per hour
Working hours - Mon - Friday 8 - 5pm
Responsibilities:
*Stock control/storekeeping including shelf life control.
*Load the manufacturing cells with the requisite jobs in accordance with planned lead and cycle times, in order to comply with manufacturing programmes and delivery schedules.
*Packing including the use of hand tools.
*Receiving and issuing of tooling.
*Updating computer records.
*Kitting activity.
*Loading and unloading of lorries
Essential Skills:
*Experience in a stores environment or manufacturing control.
*Willing to work flexible shift patterns.
*Work on own with minimal supervision.
*Manual handling training.
*Lifting & Slinging training (Including overhead cranes).
*ESD training.
*An understanding of SAP or similar
*Ideally from an aerospace or defence background
