Description

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, are currently looking to recruit a Data Analyst for an initial 12 month contract on a rate of c.£/day (inside of IR35).

Responsibilities:
The Data Analyst will work with the Project Manager and the business SMEs to extract data to help identify members who are in scope of the project.
Once identified, the member information will require a data cleanse to ensure consistency and quality of data prior to any comparison calculations being run for the Remedy itself.
In addition, the Data Analyst will be expected to maintain an audit trail at all times working with the Project Manager to ensure good governance.
The Data Analyst will be expected to work with the business SMEs independently and any other colleagues who may be required to provide expertise on an ad hoc basis.
The Data Analyst will be expected to report to the Project Manager with regard to progress on tasks associated with the project Remedy.

Requirements:
Good understanding of business and data analysis techniques and processes.
Good stakeholder and supplier management experience
Good knowledge of governance and audit requirements including GDPR
Good time management and problem solving skills
A broad technical knowledge of IT systems and/or pensions data with particular knowledge of Oracle database reporting and query language
An understanding of pensions systems and principles

Desirable Skills:
Knowledge of public sector and/or public pension regulatory environment/financial services
