Microsoft Teams Architect/Project Leader - Brussels, Belgium

Languages: ENGLISH with FRENCH and/or DUTCH essential.

Skills and Experience:

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Teams Telephony solutions, devices and other Office 365 application related or linked to Microsoft Teams.
  • In-depth practical knowledge of the architecture (both hardware and software) of telephone exchanges in digital and VoIP environments.
  • Knowledge of the various video coding technologies (MPEG2, MPEG4) and their applications in videoconferencing solutions.
  • Knowledge of Unified Communications and Collaboration solutions.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 platform and Azure.
  • Practical knowledge regarding:
    • TCP/IP and its applications in fixed and wireless networks, especially in the context of voice/video communication over IP.
    • Fixed and wireless local Ethernet networks in Layer 2/3 Switching,
    • Wide Area and local networks..
    • Wireless networks (WiFi)

Description of Work:

  • Manage and coordinate all aspect (technical, functional, governance) of the project of migration and implementation of the Microsoft Teams Telephony.
  • Define the global architecture of the police forces' voice and video networks, taking into account aspects such as security, performance and flexibility of architecture. The goal is to provide a strong and reliable environment for users.Pay particular attention to the integration or replacement of existing systems in a Unified Communications concept, whether or not in a cloud environment. (Activities specifically focused on Teams and O365).
  • Coordinate and guide the implementation of the technical and functional solutions in this domain.
  • Provide technical support in realisation of public tender by writing specifications and evaluating quotations as soon as they include aspects related to the architecture and use of voice and video.
  • Define the principles and standards for measuring and evaluating the operation of used equipment and connections.
  • Transfer knowledge to and create documentation for level 1, level 2, level 3 support.
  • Provide 3rd level support when needed.
