Description

A 12 month inside IR35 contract assignment has arisen to Lead, enhance, plan and manage IT Applications Development Projects, IT Application Development Teams and IT Application Support Teams on a day-to-day basis; to ensure these IT services are delivered to the agreed, SLA's, KPI's and business objectives, and that IT Projects are managed to ensure that stakeholders, resources, dependencies, cost, quality and time are managed within agreed parameters.

Job Specification
  • Lead, own, deliver, enhance and report on the relevant IT services in conjunction with other internal and external IT suppliers and business stakeholders to ensure that the services are delivered to the agreed SLA's, KPI's, IT Processes and business objectives.
  • Define, lead, plan and prioritise the delivery, implementation and service transition of IT projects in conjunction with other internal and external IT and business stakeholders in order to ensure that stakeholders, resources, dependencies, cost, quality and time are managed within agreed parameters.
  • Establish and resource appropriate governance boards and processes for IT Delivery Management, IT Service Management and IT Risks and Issues Management to ensure they are managed within the appropriate governance frameworks, escalating where necessary.
  • Monitor and report on Application Licensing and Support agreements in area of responsibility in collaboration with internal and external IT and Business stakeholders. This will ensure budget cycles are understood and planned, client is compliant within existing licensing agreements, and opportunities for cost savings are identified.
  • Contribute to the IT Development strategy, processes, life cycles and procedures in order to ensure that the services provided are as effective and efficient as possible, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Deliver short term/one-off projects and activities as required by and to the standards and outcomes as agreed with the Line Manager.
Person Specification
  • Extensive experience of leading multi-disciplinary IT development and support teams in an insurance, investments and pensions environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant business and industry areas which relate to the IT services that are being supported.
  • Track record of successful IT Application related service delivery and improvements.
  • Demonstrable understanding and experience of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.
  • Significant experience of stakeholder management.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and good commercial awareness.
