Assembly Technician - Andover - Immediate start

Based in Andover an Assembly Technician is required on an initial 3 month contract basis to work for an industry leading and manufacturing client.

You'll be required to carry out assembly operations (following suitable training) on a variety of bottle component assembly and bottle filling processes. The role contains 50% component assembly and 50% bottle filling.

Responsibilities:

  • Assembly of components using multiple methods and specialist tooling
  • Have a good understanding of assembly principles
  • Ability to follow procedures accurately
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing specifications/instructions/Drawings
  • Drilling and tapping holes using power and manual tools
  • Handling of 35% Hydrogen Peroxide in a safe manor at all times
  • To be flexible and work in all areas of the business including stores, service pick/pack/despatch.
  • To work in a safe, clean and customer-focused approach.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Physically fit to carry out manual assembly operations including lifting, kneeling, bending, standing for long periods
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Team player and detail oriented.
  • To be driven by quality and customer satisfaction
  • To work well as part of a close team as well as be individually motivated
  • Previous experience of working with Chemicals an advantage
  • To work within accordance of all Company Health and Safety requirements
  • Ability to remain focused on repetitive tasks to achieve consistent results
  • Ability to read technical drawings & work instructions
  • Good standard of secondary education to GSCE level including English, Maths and Science
  • Good standard of numeracy and literacy
