Position Purpose/Objective:
The Digital Technology Specialist will work within the Materials Excellence function providing SAP support and driving process improvements across Wolverhampton and Banbury.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide SAP technical (helpdesk) support for users
- Maintain good customer relations, with internal customers/users.
- Working with Customers to resolve system related business issues
- Manage incidents/tickets
- Liaise/collaborate with support teams across Actuation Systems + Enterprise DT
- Drive process excellence
- Developing best practice solutions for key processes/support new process implementation by leading/working within a multifunctional teams to deliver business improvements
- Implementing best practice processes via Standard Work, User Training and Coaching
- Ensure high level of system 5S by working with users to correct master data, aged transactions and bad transactions
- Optimising the use of SAP through extending the use of existing system functionality
- Master data management
- Responsible for maintaining the integrity of master data within SAP
- Creating new parts and changing/updating existing parts
- Work within the ACE structure to achieve sustained improvement within the Materials Excellence team
- Two to three years functional experience in specific area
- Strong background in SAP support or as Subject Matter Expert
Skills Required:
- Experience as a current system user or technical support person (SAP/SRM/APO)
- In-depth knowledge of the company's business processes, balanced with strong analytical skills
- Planning and organising skills with attention to detail, data input accuracy
- Able to work with Business Objects or VBA is highly desirable
- Ability to collaborate across Functions & Value Streams
- The ability to make decisions under time constraints
- Excellent team player with flexible and can-do attitude
