IT Manufacturing Programme Manager - Contract - WFH

My client a FTSE100 Company are currently looking to recruit an IT Manufacturing Programme Manager on a contract basis working from home. Please note this role has been deemed as Inside of IR35. The IT Manufacturing Programme Manager will be required to ensure that IT standards are implemented in the new sites associated with application, infrastructure and cyber security standards.

The key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop project plans for all IT components required to open all new plants. Working with the teams responsible for the technologies (eg Infrastructure and Business Systems Development teams), develop project plans to deliver this
  • Work closely with the Unify Programme Deployment Managers to develop a single combined plan which captures the activities and dependencies between the two areas
  • Develop a detailed bottom up budget for the costs associated with delivering the project across resource, hardware, software and partner costs
  • Lead the team of project managers to deliver the project plans for each of the plants
  • Tracks progress against plans ensuring deliverables and milestones are on track and taking the necessary corrective action when they are not.
  • Manage project delivery to schedule and budget. Manage the project risks, issues and dependencies (RAID log) for the implementation and input to the overall deployment logs.

The key experience for the IT Manufacturing Programme Manager will include:

  • Experienced IT Programme Management professional with experience of both multiple full-cycle application implementation and live-support
  • Technical skills and experience across breadth of infrastructure, applications, software development, Cyber security and architecture
  • Very strong programme management skills with deep experience in producing and delivering project plans, detailed budgets, resource plans, inventory of deliverables, risks and issues logs and status updates
  • Ability to lead and run senior Steering Committee meetings, distilling from the day to day activities the key updates, actions, issues to escalate to the senior team
  • Experienced practitioner with Waterfall methods knowledge of ITIL processes and delivery framework and understanding of Agile delivery methods
