Azure DevOps Engineer
Leatherhead, Surrey (WFH initially but if things change...)
6 Month Contract
£ per day (Rate not yet defined or signed off)
They will also look at permanent employment if that suits you better.
The client ideally want to see someone who is a Microsoft Certified Azure DevOps Engineer (Expert)
Role Summary
An opportunity has arisen within the IT team for a DevOps Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to tackle a DevOps Engineering role, helping to deliver leading edge, client-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
*Working closely with both the Agile product development & operations teams - be responsible for the design, development, monitoring and ongoing support across the entirety of the Azure platform
*Create, maintain & manage the pipelines for publishing code to Azure
*Create and maintain Azure infrastructure across all environments
*Create and maintain documentation for the Azure platform & relevant processes
*Oversee and coach team members in controlled deployment mechanisms
*Promote DevOps principles, approaches and culture across teams to help achieve DevOps maturity
*Provide effective knowledge transfer and upskilling to relevant team members to ensure an appropriate level of future self-sufficiency
Skills & Experience
Essential
Ability to demonstrate good track record in the following areas:
*Develop an instrumentation strategy
*Develop a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) strategy
*Develop a security and compliance plan
*Manage source control
*Facilitate communication and collaboration
*Define and implement continuous integration
*Define and implement a continuous delivery and release management strategy
