Machine Learning Engineer Urgently Required:
One of my globally leading clients is urgently looking for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer who enjoys to work with the latest technology to build data products and enable further data science within our client's organisation. This is a long term contract and the team is currently working from home.
You will be part of the Engineering team, which consists of data engineers who develop software (APIs and end-user applications), data pipelines and tools contain/empower sophisticated analytical algorithms, such as machine learning models. Our client's goal is to be the best team of people that know how to create and operationalize ML models by applying software engineering. You will help our client to migrate their current platform based on Hadoop and models to a GCP based solution.
The ideal Machine Learning Engineer MUST have the following responsibilities and skills:
- You are an ambitious, enthusiastic data engineer.
- You enjoy designing, developing, testing and maintaining complex data-driven systems.
- You have worked with low-latency distributed systems before, or you have read about them and tried some things out for yourself.
- You have strong experience with GCP Infrastructure.
- You are a good programmer with a strong theoretical basis; nobody has to explain you the details of KISS, DRY, YAGNI and the GoF OOP design patterns.
- You have some experience in functional programming and know its core principles. You are able to write clean, correct, efficient and maintainable code.
Must Haves:
- Senior skills and experience with Python software development
- Senior software engineering skills and understanding of version control Comfortable with all the UNIX-like tooling, bash scripts etc.
- Good understanding of Machine Learning
- Certified with GCP or equivalent experience with it
- Familiar/experienced with the Hadoop paradigm and Spark
- Familiar/experienced with CI/CD pipelines (such as airflow etc.)
