Infrastructure Engineer - Banking - Azure Cloud - Remote/London - £350 pd
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
. Delivery of work items in sprint as part of the Infrastructure Engineering team, working autonomously to engage key stakeholders, ensuring all decisions satisfy risk appetite and managing controlled delivery.
. Automate infrastructure support based on agreed architecture and Network design blueprint to support the business goals and objectives while adhering to the IT architecture and Information Security principles (Loosely coupled architectures and secure by design).
. Develop infrastructure automation, including CI/CD pipelines using Azure Cloud, Azure Devops, IAAS (terraform), Azure pipelines and Powershell.
. Define and document improvement opportunities, highlighting value and risk mitigation options.
. Build pipelines that are secure by design.
. Troubleshoot existing cloud based solutions to resolve incidents.
. Support Project Managers, Business Analysts and Managers with current processes, best practices and ideas to solve business challenges.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM ROLE
Foundational skills:
. Demonstrable experience of cloud experience (ideally Azure).
. Demonstrable experience of Sysadmin, delivery and/or 2nd/3rd line Support.
. Experience of building and supporting infrastructure solutions in based on Cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud whereas Azure experience is the most beneficial).
. Cloud networking, security and architecture concepts.
. Experience of building and supporting business critical applications in the cloud.
. Experience with Azure AKS based deployments and serverless infrastructure approach
. Experience in PaaS and IaaS cloud solutions.
. Experience in Infrastructure Automation and configuration management.
. Scripting knowledge (JSON, PowerShell, Bash, YAML, Terraform).
. Proven experience of working within a DevOps/Agile environment.
. Experience working in the financial services industry
Development-focus skills:
. Focused experience on automation and reliability engineering.
. Proven experience and best practices on Microsoft Azure tech stack.
