Procurement Manager (Central Government)

Role Profile
RPS are looking for a Procurement Manager to support a significant programme of work within one of the UK Governments core departments. Reed Professional Services provide project delivery and tailored PMO services, helping our customer's projects go from concept to completion. You will work as part of a wider RPS Delivery team, made up of Project Managers, PSO's and a Communications consultant on a project aimed at reviewing, strategizing and managing a long-term Government initiative. As the Procurement Manager, you will support several project deliverables, across multiple workstreams within the programme.
What we are looking for you to do:
As part of the RPS team on this Work Package, you will need to show demonstratable experience running large scale procurements within UK Government departments, as well as previous experience developing ongoing procurement strategies whilst offing hands-on support & guidance to project teams.
- Experience: Developing and implementing best practice policies and procedures for the procurement, Extensive experience in both digital and non-digital service procurements from tender, right through to implementation and hand over. Previous experience managing multiple projects worth £2.5m+ would be ideal due to the size and complexity of this project.
- Skills: Able to run complex procurement projects and produce procurement strategies/commercial negotiations. End to end procurement processes strategy experience with an understanding of Agile project management methodology tools.
