Description

Badenoch + Clark's NHS client in Greater Manchester requires a System Support Administrator for an initial two month contract, supporting a COVID-19 vaccine clinic. The rate on offer is £16-£18 per hour (outside of IR35) and will ideally start ASAP. Also, due to the nature of the role directly supporting the country's vaccination programme, this role will carry a high priority key worker status.

The main purpose of the role is to offer IT system support to a small number of systems/software that are being utilised in large-scale vaccination clinics in the Greater Manchester area. You will be provided full training on the systems and will work onsite at the clinics to support clinical and administration staff with any technical or usability challenges they are facing with these systems. The systems are primarily used to manage patient bookings and appointments and to record the details of the vaccinations that have taken place on a national database tracker. The majority of system issues you will be supporting are with system navigation and usability challenges for non-technical clinical staff, rather then deep-routed technical outages of the systems, so the role will be similar to a system floor-walking role to make sure that you are on-hand, present and approachable for staff to resolve any system issues they encounter - therefore making them able to prioritise administering vaccinations at the required pace.

In order to be considered, candidates must be able to demonstrate previous experience of providing system support to less technical users on a wide range of systems, demonstrating that you can get up to speed with new system functionality quickly. Given the highly significant environment you will be working within, you must have strong customer service skills, be approachable, professional and empathetic. Due to the importance of being able to offer support to key systems in a crucial working environment, reliability and punctuality is of high priority. Any prior experience of working with and supporting NHS systems would be highly beneficial.

This role is for an ASAP start so candidates will ideally be immediately available. This is an excellent opportunity for an available, IT savvy System Support Analyst or IT Trainer/Floor-walker to make a key difference in supporting the North West's vaccination programme's success, so please apply now and don't miss out.
