Pathology IT Programme Lead (Roadmap Development)
Our client a large group of NHS trusts require a Pathology Programme Lead to deliver a 3-5 year Pathology IT Road map for each of their sites.
The roadmap should will set out the benefits in clinical, financial and operations process. This will cover all aspects of an end to end service from sample taking/requesting to returning patient results.
The roadmap will provide a current state overview including the current satisfaction levels for the IT platforms in place and their associated technical architecture and will include a summary of the current technology in each organisation. This will also include a new system scope to provide a modern fit for purpose Pathology solution including Order Comms systems (ICE), Middleware, mobile management systems, multiple PAS system feeds, point of care delivery (POCT), analyser platforms, interoperability with other systems.
The strategy should address the current capabilities and capacity of the Pathology IT teams and their interdependencies and connectivity to other IT Functions both inside and outside of the Partners. It should articulate a future state for this key area.
Skills Required:
Fully conversant with the Digital/IT Pathology developments in other UK Networks
Experience of the delivery of an IT Strategy/Roadmap including Pathology for a NHS organisation
Experience of the delivery of an Pathology IT strategy to an NHS Organisation
Must have a current knowledge of Pathology IT solutions current state in the UK
