Network Engineer - Remote/London - £p/day

We have a really exciting new contract opportunity arisen for an experienced Level 3 Network Engineer. This position is with one of our top-level clients and they would like someone to start with them ASAP.

This is a project role and will have the post holder responsible for the planning and deployment of multi-vendor network service platforms, network installations, capacity/demand planning and upgrades, supporting life cycle management and also planned maintenance activities on Internet service provider networks and peering exchanges.

Skills/Experience Required:-

  • Strong previous Network Engineer experience, ideally from within an ISP, Telco or Carrier environment
  • Experience working on large production networks (ideally - project based implementation role)
  • Experience of working with Cisco, Arista, Juniper or Nokia carrier grade equipment
  • MPBGP (Multiprotocol-Border Gateway Protocol)
  • MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching)
  • OSPF (Open Shortest Path First)
  • IS-IS (Intermediate System to Intermediate System)
  • L2VPN
  • L3VPN
  • (VXLAN, EVPN, Network Automation Tooling, Python, Optical networks/DWDM - desirable NOT essential)
  • Certifications - JNCIP, CCNP, NRS II etc.

Please note that initially this position will be remote based, however as things (hopefully) improve there will be a need for the post holder to work somedays back on-site, the client has sites within Central and West London.
