Description
We are working with a well known investment bankwho are looking for a DevOps Engineer on a contracting basis.
You will focus on defining optimal architecture for the various eBond comnponents to satisfy non functional and functional requirements using cloud/hybrid mix.
You must have working knowledge of Openshift, Kubernetes and CI/CD. You must also have experience of working in an investment banking IT trading environment - preferably with Derivative products.
As this is a DevOps Engineer position, day to day, you will be expected to -
Encompass systems engineering and performance, configuration management, and day to day operations.
You'll seek to automate wherever possible to improve efficiency and support Infrastructure as a Service.
You will also promote DevOps best practices such as CI/CD, automated testing, branching strategy, and environment decoupling) and manage and maintain a multi-cloud environment (AWS, Azure).
Essential
DevOps Engineer background (or something similar)
- Experience with Cloud/Container platforms eg Openshift/Kubernetes
Programming knowledge for automation, eg bash scripts
- Good understanding of Security principles
- Continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) experience
- IT Trading environment experience
- Knowledge of derivative or Fixed Income products
