Senior Finance Officer

Experis are currently recruiting for a Senior Finance Officer position on a long term contract basis for a central government intelligence client.

12 months

'Active' SC clearance is essential

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining system, problem solving, monitoring for system and user issues.
  • Manage the delivery of users training.
  • Process master data changes.
  • Excellent end user skills required to reply to users queries and requests.
  • The operational finance role includes dealing with imprest accounts and complex queries regarding the deposits and disposals of cash to Government Departments and individual returns based on appropriate operational authorisations and legation.
  • Assisting with preparing and submitting the ARIS returns to the Home Office.
  • Manage delivery of audit plan.

Key Skills/Experience

  • Proven experience of working in a Finance department.
  • Knowledge of Finance systems and workflows, procure to pay processes and record keeping.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal/customer facing skills.
  • Good administrative/organisational skills with the ability to multi task.
  • Effective analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Experience of effective time management and working to tight deadlines.
