IT Asset Manager
My client is a highly dynamic and successful IT Services and Consultancy organisation with a strong presence across the UK.
They currently have an opportunity for an IT Asset Manager with Discovery experience to join their team on a contract basis.
The role will involve:
- Consultancy based discovery of current Hardware and Software Asset Management systems across people, processes, and toolsets in their current roles
- Discover and record the existing assets on the IT estate
- Discover and record the software licence position
- Work with internal technical teams and any 3rd party suppliers to provide end to end ITAM (IT Asset Management) register
- Map findings against business requirements and produce a gap analysis to maintain existing compliance policies.
- Deliver a report containing overall costs of assets including ownership with associated contracts and asset life cycle, existing warranties, and refresh information and recommending what tool set should be used for hardware asset and configuration management as well as software asset and licence management to improve the ITAM/SAM process to increase maturity and leverage industry innovations.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Experience of ITAM/SAM (IT Asset Management/Software AM)
- Detailed understanding of a broad range of cloud, hardware, software, and configuration operating models
- Understanding of CMDB best practices
- ITIL/ITSM practitioner or relevant extensive knowledge
- Knowledge of Software licencing schemes
- Excellent stakeholder relationship experience
