Full Stack PHP MVC Developer
A global Powerhouse within the social media industry are looking for a Full Stack PHP MVC Developer to join their team on an initial 12 month contract. The role will be onboarded remotely, before eventually joining the team in their London offices.
Responsibilities
- Full stack web application development with a variety of coding languages
- Create consumer products and features using internal programming language Hack
- Implement web or mobile interfaces using XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Work closely with our TPM to define and build features
- Perform code review and set standards as needed.
- Diagnose, Troubleshoot and fix production problems as they arise
- Continuously improve software engineering practices.
Skills Required
- Looking for an Engineer to join fast content team, somebody senior enough to be comfortable working a bit isolated/working with external agencies. Form basis of contractor team, team lead experience highly preferred. Someone able to work within a smaller team without the support of larger team as they will need to work individually without much support.
- Proven experience building and managing a PHP MVC application in production (WordPress, symphony, marketing websites and managing them full stack development. MUST have full stack experience.
- Good understanding of Software Engineering principles.
- Experience with PHP and managing Server Side rendered MVC frameworks
- Experience with modern CSS and HTML
- Experience implementing features and user interfaces using responsive web technology
- Able to Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues
- Experience with SEO
- Experience owning products in production including building and maintaining metric dashboards, debugging, logging, monitoring and alerting
- Experience reviewing code and setting engineering standards
Preferred Skills
- Building accessible web components, a plus
- At least 5 years' experience with PHP MVC in related role(s) or 2+ years as a lead/leading a team/tech lead
- BA/BS in related field preferred but not required
Note
Not looking for candidates with only JavaScript/HTML experience - Full stack/managing PHP server full stack systems experience required to be considered in addition to strong HTML/JavaScript
