Application Engineer - AWS - Cloud formation - Terraform - Microservices - Python

Key Responsibilities/Duties:
Container Technology:
A good understanding of container technology is mandatory. Candidate must be able to demonstrate knowledge of containers by explaining how to create a container image from scratch. Knowledge of microservices architecture and docker-compose is also required.
Terraform Knowledge of HashiCorp Terraform is essential for the SRE team and preferred for the platform team. An ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate experience using this IaC tool and have a good understanding of how the terraform state works.
We must ask the candidate is familiar with AWS ECS. This is a mandatory piece of AWS service AWS Cloud formation.
The ideal candidate must have the ability to write/update cloud formation templates. A candidate who has used the AWS web console only (no IaC) to create a stack will struggle to get through the interview process.
AWS Hands-on experience.
Java knowledge is mandatory for the PaCE team, where they use the Spring Framework to run Wiremock for performance testing. Please note - Hands-on coding, will also require Python skills (advanced) to develop Locust use cases. The candidate must be able to answer Python-related coding questions. Most commonly asked the question is, explain what a decorate does in Python and give us an example.
General Bash Scripting experience will be necessary for this position.
