Our Central Government client are looking for an SC Cleared Scrum Master/Project Lead.

The role

The change department has embarked on an ambitious and iterative journey of Agile Transformation encompassing processes, tooling, practices and techniques in order to meet the challenges. This will deliver fit for purpose product aligned to user need but needs the right resources, including those within this request, to enable this transition. Without the right level of experienced industry expertise to support this transition it will fail at great cost.

As the Agency makes its early transitions into Agile Project Management approaches, we are seeking to employ a number of individuals who can pick up the responsibilities of both Project Leads and emergent SCRUM Masters.

The scrum master is the team role responsible for ensuring the team lives agile values and principles and follows the processes and practices that the team agreed they would use.

Key skills and experience

  • Good understanding of project or programme management methodologies, tools and techniques including: requirements management, planning, scheduling, resource management, budgeting and cost management, risk and issue management, quality management, governance, frameworks and methodologies, stakeholder engagement, assurance, change control and benefits management.
  • Understanding of other project or programme management methodologies, tools and techniques including: commercial and procurement, solutions development, business change and implementation, business case development, asset allocation and knowledge management.
  • Familiarity with external applicable quality standards.
  • Understanding of the need to maintain a practical and pragmatic approach to standards compliance.
  • Good risk management.
  • Proven track record of managing a medium or small complexity project or working as a member of a large or medium complexity project team or as a specialist or workstream lead for small, low complexity project.
  • Proven experience of managing a team or first line management.
  • Experienced in effective decision making with accountability for decisions made.
  • Experience of analysing information from a range of sources.
  • Experience of planning.
