Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Consulting Engineer - Azure (3 month contract)
A high-calibre Managed Service Provider in central London requires a highly capable Cloud Infrastructure guru to join them as a Senior Engineer to design modern technology solutions for clients across the city. This exceptional MSP has a solid platform from which to expand, delivering solutions across the full infrastructure estate, with particular emphasis on cloud (primarily Azure and Private Cloud). This is a customer facing position encompassing the full range of responsibilities typical of a Senior Cloud Engineer for an IT Services Provider; Presales consulting/advisory (not the core purpose of the position), some Solutioning, Project planning, Project implementation and Documentation.
While not a core requirement, experience with networking (including Cloud Networking - eg VNETs, NSG, route table, Virtual network gateway, peering), would be beneficial.
Key core technology experience/skills:
- Proven track record of Cloud Infrastructure Implementation
- Public, private and hybrid cloud: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS. Experience of On Prem to Azure migrations highly beneficial.
- Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL, Backup and Recovery
- Good knowledge of Virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc)
- Network transformation; LAN/WAN, unified comms etc
- A CCNA would be desirable, although it not a requirement.
- Experience working within an IT Service Provider/MSP would be of benefit.
