Front End Developer - (UX/GDS/HTML)
Remote
Outside IR35
Requirement for a UX design with Front End development service to;
Design our collections service prototypes in line with user needs
Translate the UI/UX design wireframes/prototypes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the accessible web application
Engage with Back End developers to ensure accessible websites
Meet GDS standards and user-centred design
The key service and skills include:
Government Digital Services toolkit
Accessibility
HTML5 (you write clean, valid, efficient, semantic markup)
Responsive Web Design (able to implement mobile first RWD)
JavaScript (including OOP, AJAX, jQuery)
CSS (scalable, modular CSS, using pre-processors)
Agile and lean practices and approaches: SCRUM/TDD/BDD
Version Control (Git, BitBucket, etc.)
Optimise
Nice to have/None essential
Microsoft Azure public cloud
Architectural patterns and practices, REST APIs, DDD, CQRS, Event Sourcing, Reactive etc.
