Linux Administrator
International Banking Group - Contract
Initial 6 months, Rate TBC
Home Based (Usually London)

As a preferred and trusted recruitment partner to this international banking group for over eight years, we have been informed of the imminent release of a contract Linux Administrator opportunity. We therefore are seeking interested candidates who may wish to apply upon official release in the coming days.

The Linux Administrator will work as part of team responsible for providing 24/7 Linux support across both EMEA and internationally.

Key Requirements (Excellent Knowledge of)
oMultiple Linux OS Platforms - Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS, SuSE, Solaris
oLinux systems internals and Kernel tuning
oConfiguring Linux systems for optimal performance
oPerformance monitoring, tuning utilities and commands
oSecurity hardening principles (CIS industry benchmarks)
oNetworking, storage, database and virtualisation layers
oClustering and high availability
oReplication and disaster recovery
oSecurity and auditing
oData security governance (GDPR, SOX)

Desirable Requirements
Python, Perl and Batch Scripting; Ansible and SaltStack; Red Hat Satellite; VcVM and VxFS; NFS and CIFS; TCP/IP Networking Protocols; Infoblox DNS; ESX VMware; Nutanix HCI; EMC and HDS storage arrays; EMC Networker, Data Domain and IBM Tivoli Storage Manager; Icinga 2 and OpManager; IBM Tivoli and Netcool; Active Directory, LDAP and Kerberos; GitHub, Subversion and TeamCity; BMC Control-M; CyberArk; Splunk and QRadar; Qualys; SharePoint, JIRA and Confluence; ServiceNow and Serena Business Manager; Cloud Computing (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Azure, AWS, GCP, Oracle).

Inside IR35 (PAYE Umbrella): This contract is Inside IR35 and you will need to contract via an Umbrella company on PAYE. On top of your base pay rate (which will include holiday pay) you will receive an uplift for Employer's NI (13.8%), Pension (3%) and Apprenticeship Levy (0.5%).

This position would be suitable for those who have held the following titles: Linux Administrator, Linux Specialist, Linux Engineer, Linux Systems Administrator, Linux Systems Engineer, Linux Systems Specialist.
