Description

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation based in Edinburgh, are currently looking to recruit a Web Content Editor for an initial 2 month contract, with potential for extension, on a rate of £/day (inside of IR35). This role will be remote based.

The Role:
Support business users in the production of accessible documentation by creating content in plain English and reviewing content for accuracy and accessiblity.
Use data and customer research to produce and maintain user centered content for the current Web site and planned Intranet development.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with business owners, subject matter experts and internal or external stakeholders, providing specialist advice and guidance through meetings and workshops.
Analyse customer requirements and translate these into digital content that provides effective user experiences and customer journeys.

Requirements:
Digital content design, planning and management including websites, intranets.
Knowledge of developing user experiences, informed by insights into user behaviour and a good understanding of user research techniques.
Strong understanding of Government Digital Service Standards (GDS)
Ability to create content using plain English
Good understanding of Web Accessibility standards and in particular document accessibility
Adaptability, Resilience and Flexibility.

Desirable:
Familiarity with the Umbraco CMS or similar
Familiarity with creation of accessible digital documents in line with industry and Government Digital Service Standards.
