Badenoch + Clark's client in the North West of England requires and Information Governance Manager for an initial three month contract. The role is to start ASAP and rates are negotiable depending on experience, but are likely to fall within the £250 - £400 per day bracket (OUTSIDE of IR35). The role will be heavily remote working based.
The core responsibility of the successful candidate will be to take ownership of the Trust's strategy and delivery of Freedom of Information (FoI) and Subject Access Requests (SAR), delivering a high quality service whilst adhering to National and Trust policies and targets. You will implement and delivery against effective IG KPIs, working effectively and collaboratively with the Trust's Head of Information Governance. Working with and leading a team of FOI and SAR officers, you will oversee the FOI & SAR function to ensure its effectiveness to provide a high quality and responsive service; ensuring all FOI and SAR requests received by the Trust are acknowledged, recorded, collated, and completed in order to meet legal deadlines. You will consult with the Head of Information Governance and other senior managers regarding complex FOI and SAR requests, including use of exemptions, and any complaints resulting from an FOI/SAR request.
In order to be considered, candidates will have a strong knowledge and background in implementing and driving NHS Information Governance and Operations within the NHS. You will in particular have significant experience in owning, delivering against and improving NHS Trust responses and adherence to FoI and SAR requirements.
