We are partnered with a company working within the financial services sector who require an experienced DevOps consultant with experience using OpenShift. You will act as an SME with the ability to explain and translate relevant details of the OpenShift platform and its constituent components to those less familiar.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement automated, containerized on private data centre Servers application platform solution, with a focus on application concerns including distributed application architectures, migrating workloads to containers, containerized development work flows, and integrating container platforms with automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Build, test and administer several highly available RedHat Container storage (OCS- Gluster).
  • Writing and modification of Ansible.
  • Work with the client to develop solutions, feature enhancements, and define technical infrastructure environment specific to the client's organisation
  • Troubleshoot the platform and issues related to integrations with other internal systems
  • Monitor hardware, VM and container metrics for the purposes of maintaining cluster health and identifying thresholds for scaling
  • Consult with architects and designers to determine requirements and recommend solutions
  • Assist with configuration and maintenance of interfaces for related tool integrations
  • Essential skills:

    • In depth knowledge and experience of installing, configuring and operating OpenShift and Gluster on-Linux environments.
    • Extensive knowledge of Linux Containers (Docker), Kubernetes, and deployment of containerized applications/microservices architectures
    • Experience of working with different languages and Scripting tool
    • Experience with NGINX, Apache.
    • Must have worked on Creating GlusterFS cluster (Replicate, Distributed-Replicate, Arbiter, etc).
    • Creating/Adding/Tuning Gluster Storage Volume
    • Monitoring and publishing report of Gluster
    • Configuring GlusterFS to enable features like NFS, CTDB, Geo-Replication etc.
    • Experience in upgrade/downgrade the Gluster Cluster
    • Good knowledge of Git, Redhat Enterprise Linux and Certificate management
    • Working knowledge of VMware
