Initial 6-month contract
£400 - £450 per day (Inside IR35)

Digital Skills are partnering with a specialist consultancy who are looking to recruit an OpenShift/GlusterFS Design Build Specialist to help install and configure OpenShift and GlusterFS in a Linux environment.
Your role will be to implement automated, containerized on private data centre server's application platform solution, with a focus on application concerns including distributed application architectures, containerized development workflows, and integrating container platforms with automated CI/CD pipelines. You will also be expected to Build, test and administer several highly available RedHat OpenShift Container Platform clusters.
Experience & Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge and experience of installing, configuring and operating OpenShift and Gluster on-Linux environments.
- Extensive knowledge of Linux Containers (Docker), Kubernetes, and deployment of containerized applications/microservices architectures
- Experience Creating GlusterFS cluster (Replicate, Distributed-Replicate, Arbiter, etc).
- Working knowledge using Ansible
- Provide support for tracing and help with Triage for an application running on OpenShift
- Experience with NGINX, Apache.
- Creating/Adding/Tuning Gluster Storage Volume
- Monitoring and publishing report of Gluster
- Able to configure GlusterFS to enable features like NFS, CTDB, Geo-Replication etc.
- Experience in upgrade/downgrade the Gluster Cluster
- Experience in expand/shrink the Gluster cluster
- Experience in designing of Gluster storage components
- Debugging and troubleshooting memory leaks in Gluster
- Designing Gluster and its flow
- Must have experience in RHEL
- Experience in YAML files
- Exposure to Git, Redhat Enterprise Linux and Certificate management
- Working knowledge of VMware
