Harvey Nash are now inviting candidates to apply for the role of Jira Administrator, a 6 month contract for a public sector organisation located in Scotland. Candidates must have a Disclosure Scotland Certificate at application stage.

The Assignment

As our clients programme continues to develop the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology across the programme, there is a requirement to establish a number of teams to support in this area. The programme is looking to recruit a Project and Jira Support team member to support in the delivery of these project workstreams

Key Skills

  • Super User' of JIRA (ie understands how to perform bulk changes, setup Kanban boards, run queries, create quick filters on Kanban boards, setup regular reporting, etc
  • Experience of JIRA Advanced Roadmaps would be a benefit but not essential
  • Independent worker - can be assigned a task and can complete with minimal support
  • Good understanding of project planning; Dependencies, milestones, risks, issues, (both in JIRA or another tool eg MS Project)
  • Problem Solver - ability to work with other team members across the project to identify issues and implement solution
  • Confidence to present information in a clear and concise way in order to gain stakeholder buy in at both junior and senior levels
  • Comfortable with remote working

Essential Skills

  • Jira
  • Experience of working in an Agile delivery environment (ideally using SAFe)
  • Flexibility to develop role within a new and dynamic environment as the SAFe ways of working continue to mature across the programme
