Description
I am currently looking for a Data Engineer to work 100% remote, even after COVID-19.
My client is developing a network of online food ordering sites with over 100 restaurant partners worldwide. There are several project teams working on different parts of the network.
Requirements for the Data Engineer position:
- 6+ years of experience in BE (Java, Scala etc), at least last 2 years in Data Engineering role;
- A proven track record of substantially impacting the development of complex distributed data pipelines and databases;
- Experience with Java, Python or Scala with focus on distributed systems;
- Experience with big data ecosystem & tools (eg Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kafka-Connect, Presto);
- Relational databases like Postgres, MySQL (advanced SQL writing and optimization skills are required);
- Strong experience with Cloud Platforms like AWS or GCP;
- Experience with stream-processing systems (eg Storm, Spark-Streaming);
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Kubernetes/Dockers;
- Cloud Data Warehouses like AWS Redshift or Google Bigquery;
- Experience with Linux and Shell Scripting;
- Good English communication (written and spoken)
