IT Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Consultant - Banking
This is a great opportunity if you come from a banking background and have a strong background in IT disaster recovery and business continuity ! A major global financial services institution are seeking an individual to assist in delivering it's IT Disaster Recovery programme for the EMEA region, and supporting the wider operational resilience activities of the organisation.
The role will involve:
Helping to operate the IT Business Continuity Management function in EMEA, supporting the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Managers
Influence and Implement the Business Continuity Management System
Support and Influence the IT Disaster Recovery strategy
Drive and coordinate the IT Disaster Recovery programme
Report to internal stakeholders including senior management - exercise results, risks and issues
Stakeholder management
Provide regular reports to management
Drive and coordinate the periodic business and technology recovery tests to ensure continuous delivery of services and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with IT groups and teams to implement, maintain and upgrade minimum infrastructure and technology
Provides support to IT management to track, compile and publish monthly IT performance reports, Service Level Agreement reporting, Key Risk Indicators and Problem Management metrics.
Ensure compliance of IT projects with IT DR requirements and standards
Implementation and management of IT DR Policy, processes and procedures
Enforce and operate IT DR permanent controls
You will require the following to be considered for the role:
Experience in development and maintenance of IT Disaster Recovery Plans within banking or financial services organisations
Prior experience coordinating and participating in technology-based recovery exercises.
Financial industry experience and familiarity with best practices and regulatory bodies governing Business Continuity & IT Disaster Recovery
Strong MS Office skills
Project management skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines on multiple deliverables
Highly attentive to detail with problem solving skills necessary to take on program challenges and new initiatives
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
