Database Designer
6 Month contract initially
Based: Remote
Rate - £550 - £590 per day
*Outside IR35*
We have an excellent opportunity with a global leading organisation, a true leader in their field. We are looking for a Database Designer, to join the team on a great project.
You will plan and oversee the execution of the data migration strategy. Designing scripts to extract data from Lotus Domino and SQL Server Legacy databases, where necessary transforming and verifying quality. You will be responsible for designing scripts to load data into the new database platform.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyse Legacy database structures
* Design logical data model and physical database structure (based on Postgres or AWS RDS SQL)
* Write the data migration strategy
* Working with the Platform/DevSecOps Engineers and Test Automation Engineers write scripts to create and populate production and test databases
* Support the solution architect in defining the database aspects of the solution architecture and securing approval of those at the relevant technical governance forum/s
Key Skills & Experience:
* Datamodelling - logical and physical
* AWS RDS
* PostgreSQL
* Data migration from Legacy to AWS cloud
* AWS/Microservices
