UI Developer - Banking - inside IR35

Our client, a leading bank is looking for a number of talented UI developers to join them a number of different programmes across 2021.

This is a great opportunity to be involved in some of the latest projects for the bank, working on mobile apps, lending programmes, payment related projects.

The purpose of the role is to deliver 1st class customer experiences using HTML5 and other modern web technology. The team need to develop a number of components, tools and libraries for reuse by several of the flagship digital programmes across the bank.

As the UI developer, you will be involved in the following:

Develop modern web applications, components, tools and libraries

To ensure quality and automation throughout, and of, the software development life cycle

To own the delivery of software from conception to delivery on our customers devices

Collaborate with peers to drive a change in mind-set and skills adoption across the wider bank

Collaborate with peers to drive an internal open source community in our approach to software development

To own and be transparent in what technology we adopt in order to get the highest return on investment and value

Interact with a number of stakeholders to deliver software in an agile manner

What are the skills, knowledge and experience needed to do the role?

HTML5, React, Redux, SASS, JavaScript (Vanilla), CSS; Continuous Integration; Application Development; Open Source Libraries; Single Page Application Architecture; Microservices; NodeJS.

Experience working for a company with an E-commerce customer segment.

Experience working for an agile team with the ability to assume a Scrum Master role

Strong interpersonal skills to work with colleagues who need encouragement and coaching to learn new technology

Commercial experience of building a product which has been sold to customers
