Interim Payroll Manager - furlough claims

Our client are looking for an interim Payroll Manager for a specific and focused role around supporting the Financial Controller on extracting and working with payroll data (from the Workday HCM) to help build and then submit claims to HMRC for all employees eligible under the furlough scheme.

A prior knowledge of furlough claims is not essential however the right individual will need to be able to take new information on board quickly as they will be upskilled by the client on the claims process and legislation.

The role is working for a major hospitality business with circa 18,000 staff, of which a proportion are on furlough/flexible furlough.

Role Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience as a payroll manager, preferably at a large scale consumer sector business
  • Understanding of payroll data extraction and manipulation
  • Knowledge of Workday is beneficial but not essential
