  • On-Site Server Technician
  • Working 2 days a week - can be flexible on what days work best for you
  • Up to £180 per day (Equivalent salary of £39,000pa)
  • INSIDE IR35
  • 6 month contract
  • Role based on-site in Manchester, City Centre
Working for a Global Software Design and Semiconductor Company we are looking for a part time 2 days per week Server Room Support to maintain and administer the equipment in computer server room, which is being used remotely by the Developer team. The role primarily involves responding to requests from the development team to investigate and resolve problems with physical Servers and Embedded devices.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site support to the Developer/Debug team who are working remotely connecting to Servers, and debug probes which are physically located in the Manchester office.
  • Administration and maintenance of Linux Servers.
  • Administration and maintenance of Embedded devices.
  • Documenting the existing network infrastructure
  • Cataloguing the hardware currently used.
Education and Qualifications

Skills and Experience
  • Linux server administration and command line skills.
  • Good understanding of IP Networking.
  • Providing user documentation
  • Friendly manner, good communication and team working skills.

The following additional key skills and behaviours are desirable for the role, but are not essential.
