DevOps Engineer/Cloud Platform Engineer - AWS, Openshift essential; C London/Remote, c£650 per day (inside IR35), Min 6 month contract, start ASAP
Enthusiastic Cloud Engineer/DevOps Engineer required to utilise & further their broad AWS skills and play a key part in the ongoing delivery & support of my client's evolving containerised platform using the latest methodologies and technologies.
Great opportunity, to join a dynamic Cloud Development team who are building & upgrading major Cloud platforms from scratch, delivering challenging projects ready for launch/migration of new & existing business solutions; you will really be able to add to your cloud experience with great training on offer too.
My client is an established & successful finance org who have over 600k customers & c1100 staff on multiple sites as well as a supportive & collaborative culture with great work/life balance including flexi-working hours & home based days (currently all remote working).
The Cloud Engineer/DevOps Engineer will have an automate, automate, automate mind-set', enjoy adding value to the team, platform & wider business and have proven knowledge of most of the following:
Red Hat OpenShift clusters - design & build
AWS - provisioning & managing services
System Administration eg Linux
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, Automation (Ansible), Scripting (Python or Shell etc).
Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
The Cloud Platform Engineer/DevOps Engineer will also have excellent written & verbal communication skills in order to liaise with technical & business colleagues as well as 3rd parties.
Day rate Dependent on experience £ per day (less Employers NI, holiday pay, pension etc). NB My client operates all contractors Inside IR35' via a preferred umbrella company.
To start ASAP, min 6 month contract - likely extension.
The team are currently working from home but are usually based in smart, modern offices with an ultra cool, new layout including work pods, standing desks & flexible meeting areas; based in a lovely location on the Southbank close to numerous tube/rail stations & lunch spots by the Thames!
Easy commute on the Central, Jubilee, District, Circle, Bakerloo & Northern lines as well as 10 mins walk from Waterloo, Blackfriars & London Bridge stations.
