Description

Responsibilities:
Maintain the AIX - Redhat - Clustering Infrastructure (mandatory skill)
Maintain the storage infrastructure EMC VNX 5100, San Switch Brocade (mandatory skill)
Maintain Networker release 8.2.4 EMC backup software (mandatory skill)
Maintain software Rear Backup (mandatory skill)
Maintain windows 2008 and Windows 2012 Servers (added value)
Acknowledge, troubleshoot and resolve tickets that are assigned to the team in a correct way.
Escalate incidents internally or to 3rd party partners when required.
Participate, on a punctual basis, on specific projects related to his/her specialty.
Duties:
Maintains and adapts the configuration of server software and system components life cycle Management;
Maintains the infrastructure: Incident resolution, Problem resolution;
Troubleshooting, co-ordination with third party suppliers as well as with the central IT department of the customer;
Contingency planning, environment planning, configuration management and other relevant tasks related to the role;
Designs and implements AIX, Linux, Windows solutions;
Maintains the relevant documents/manuals describing the system and its infrastructure;
Participate in standby 7x24 (1 week per month);
Provides input for Incidents/Problems/Defects post closure analysis to S3Bis Incident/Problem Manager and/or the Technical Team Leader;
Provides input to organize regular knowledge transfer sessions;
Working Conditions:
Work shifts of 8 hours covering the time range between 08h30 and 18h30 from Monday to Friday with some flexibility required when overtime is exceptionally needed.
Employment and technical Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in ICT domains as described below with at least 4 years of experience as Datacenter infrastructure architect;
Technical understanding of IT products for every layer in the stack. Knowledge of most commercial and open source alternatives for the following layers are mandatory:
o Operating systems (AIX, RedHat, Windows Server 2008 and 2012)
o Physical Infrastructure (eg DELL Servers, Bull Escala and Novascale);
o Basic knowledge on network technologies (Cisco UCS-B and C series)
o Good Knowledge Backup software (Networker, Rear Backup)
o Maintains SAN: switch Brocade
Must be details oriented, analytical, and demonstrate ability to work in ambiguous environment;
Must be self-directed with proven ability to make mature decisions supported by thorough data analysis;
Knowledge of ITIL V3 processes.
Good communication skills.
Good documentation writing skills.
Working experience with EU client or other public institution is an added value;
Languages:
English proficient (CEFRL Level: Minimum B2, Ideally C1)
Preferable 2nd language: French

Education:
Bachelor or University degree in IT or equivalent by valid professional IT certifications in the domain of administration/operations of AIX systems.
