User Research Lead
Candidates must be experienced User Researchers, with the ability to shape & lead the portfolio of user research activities across the service in an agile manner.
Essential
Extensive specialist knowledge of research methodologies, tools, and techniques.
Professional knowledge of other relevant disciplines such as service design, performance management and business analysis.
Skills in planning user research for the development and accessibility of digital health and care services.
Skills in developing user research strategies and capabilities across projects and programmes.
Skills in leading multiple research projects across multi-disciplinary teams and sectors in a complex environment and at pace.
Skills in managing research resource to ensure successful delivery while developing staff capability.
Skills in developing and maintaining highly collaborative relationships and communicating with and influencing different audiences.
Skills in convincing people that a user-centred approach is fundamental and in ensuring that user insights are understood and acted upon.
Educated to master's degree level or with equivalent relevant qualifications or work experience.
Desirable
Knowledge of standards, for example, Government Digital Service Standards, ISO 9.
Knowledge of health and care and/or of NHS organisations.
Skills in working with governance bodies within the public sector, for example Government Digital Service (GDS).
