Description
A Network Development Specialist, preferably with experience of working in a UK defence environment, is required for a long term contract assignment with a multi-national defence company. This role can be based in Stevenage, Bristol or Bolton.
Responsibilities:
* Lead or assist with examination of non-standard or project requirements from stakeholders including end customers, internal product-facing teams, IT colleagues, support and outsourcing partners and others.
* Liaison with colleagues and support partners to form an architecture
* Participate in project teams for large projects and lead/self-manage for smaller scale activities
* Coordinate design strategies and projects/tactical actions at a group level, within the UK business or bi/tri laterally
* Act as design authority for overseas sales and support offices within the group networks strategy
* Support the UK network operations team for national-specific subjects
* Support to project management colleagues in providing specialist technical support and consultancy for project activities
* Creation of documentation and presentation materials in support of business activities
* Close cooperation with security operating centre and information security teams to ensure the highest standards of secure design
Skillset/experience required:
* Network architecture
* Network security
* Experience of network operations and device configuration
* Cryptography (commercial and military/high grade)
* Architecture frameworks (nice to have)
