Our client Tier1 IT system integrator are looking for Category Manager to support their client project based in High Wycombe, UK.

Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance is mandatory

Minimum Requirement:

  • Experience of leading Category Management initiatives and analysing large sets of data to identify and recommend opportunities.
  • Demonstrable stakeholder management and communication skills including in providing briefings to stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and management information analysis skills.
  • Experience of working within public sector environment.
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines.

This role is to provide support in readying management information for category analysis, in order to ready the Front Line Command (FLC) Commercial teams to deliver a Category Management approach to procurement.

Activities within the role will include:

  • Help to create a source of truth, data driven fact based which serves as a key document for both suppliers and customers.
  • Support in data collection and analysis and liaising with other Our Client Commercial areas to gather information.
  • Use MI to help develop category spend profile in the assigned FLC Commercial area.
  • Use MI to identify and prioritise category management opportunities, analysing spend data and focusing on those areas which will deliver an acceptable Return on Investment.
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement in data capture.
  • Supporting role to FLC Commercial Category Management Lead.
  • Engagement with key stakeholders within the assigned FLC Commercial area to educate and gather data to inform a Category Management Strategy Plan with a detailed Stakeholder Plan.
  • Act as interface between the FLC Commercial area and the relevant FLC stakeholders.
  • Support FLC Commercial Category Management Lead in preparation for Category Management meetings and carry out relevant actions for the assigned FLC Commercial areas.
  • Skills Transfer - knowledge transfers to assigned FLC Commercial areas on Category Management strategies, stakeholder engagement plans and recommendations on the next stage of the initiative.
