Join us as the Supplier Quality Engineer, on this position You will:
  • Plan, organize and conduct audits/assessments of supplier's systems, processes, and products.
  • Document and report audit/assessment results.
  • Inspect and verify products for compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Assess capability and capacity of suppliers to perform current or potential future work.
  • Investigate and resolve concerns to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Provide education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues, and company initiatives to develop and improve supplier performance and productivity.
  • Report status of supplier performance.
Your Profile:
  • Knowledge of aviation industry, military and government specifications, handbooks, and standards.
  • Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities (eg, composites, structures), and data needed for defining delivery configurations (eg, design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, supplier data). Ability to differentiate production (manufacturing) processes and requirements from in-service procedures and requirements.
  • Knowledge of drawing/data systems (eg, "used on"drawings, part relationships, product data management) and configuration management principles and processes (eg, part number control, revision level, naming conventions, product identification numbering systems).
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering technical information (eg drawings, handbooks, industry standards, and specifications).
  • Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various procurement departments/disciplines. Knowledge of the interactions between departments/disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another and impact non-Procurement processes (eg, Engineering, Business, Operations, Logistics).
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action
