Energy/Power Quant Developer - (£750 - £850 a Day) - 6 Month Contract
I'm looking for Quant Developer with Energy or Power business knowledge. My client is a leading Power and Energy Trading firm in London. You will be working on an exciting green-field projects, either energy trading or power trading. This is a 6 month contract. The Quant Developer were looking for will have advanced Python programming skills. So this role would suit a Python Specialist with Commodities Trading experience. The quantitative developer will come from a statistical background.
Do you have Power or Energy Trading experience?
This role would suit someone who considers themselves to be a Power or Energy SME. The role will start off initially remote until till further notice. Once it's safe to do so you will be working in a modern swanky office. In close range of nice lunch spots and coffee shops - super convenient when you're looking for something quick and tasty!
You will be part of a small dynamic team of strong Quant Developers, sitting in the Energy, Power & Environment Trading division. This is a collaborative environment where everyone's voices are heard so the ideal Quant Developer should enjoy problem solving, working on complex products and a team player.

Requirements:
Advanced Python programming skills
Packages: Numpy, SciPy, Sickt-Learn or Keras or Tensorflow
Power Trading/Commodities Experience
Statistical background eg Masters or PhD in STEM Subjects, (Financial Engineering preferable)
Experience with Azure (Blobstorage, Cosmo DB)
