Description
A world-leading global Investment Bank is looking for a talented Data Engineer to develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. A candidate who is passionate about research and devise innovative methods for data analysis and who has technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Data Engineer will be responsible for managing the analysis activity in at least one priority project/program with a medium to a high level of scope/complexity. The Data Engineer may be required to manage a pool of Data Engineer and be the main point of contact for Data Analysis
Required Skills:
- Good knowledge in writing and understanding complex SQL queries
- Advanced pattern recognition and predictive modelling experience
- Experience with SQL and programming/Scripting languages (like python, R, etc)
- Experience in developing data analytics and data propagation pipeline with Python
- Hands-on experience of open source big data technology, especially graph theory and utilization of Scala and Apache Spark
- Knowledge of cloud architecture
- Previous hands-on technical experience is desirable
