eCommerce Product Owner

An eCommerce Product Owner Lead is required by our client to support their major Digital Transformation programme involving eCommerce re-platforming. The successful eCommerce Product Owner, will hold a deep and detailed knowledge of eCommerce stores for both B2C and B2B platform, alongside project delivery skills.

Working with the Business Lead, the wider Programme Team, and their Solution Partners you will be accountable for:

  • Gathering requirements and running workshops across the various business areas
  • Representing the business in deciding upon functional designs for on site features in collaboration with our delivery partner
  • As a Product Owner you will manage a small team and collaborate with other workstream leads throughout the programme
  • Develop your own activities in conjunction with the Digital Project Manager
  • Participating in business case discussions for the solutions or any given feature
  • Supporting and contributing to design decisions to ensure that the requirements, processes and ways of working meet the needs of the wider group

Purpose of Role

  • Establish yourself as the eCommerce workstream lead and coordinate activity relating to the eCommerce solution with your team of shared resources
  • Become the key point of contact for the eCommerce solution matters for the programme
  • Contribute to the design & build of the eCommerce solution
  • Proactively engage with relevant stakeholders, suppliers and governance processes

Key deliverables of the Role

  • Process development and input
  • Workstream detailed activity timeline ownership and management
  • Support of the existing procurement, product and order processing teams
  • Operational solution identification
  • Delivery quality, completeness and timeliness
  • Stakeholder awareness and exceptional stakeholder management skills
  • Supporting the development of training materials
  • Leading user acceptance testing from an eCommerce perspective

Experience

  • Experience of working in a multi-dimensional business environment
  • Experience of being a workstream lead and/or a product owner within an eCommerce environment
  • Experience of all eCommerce principles
  • Experience of working within large-scale programs of change, ideally within a technical or business change capacity.
