Description
Role summary
- Experience in writing SQL to extract data from a relational database
- Integrating processing methods and pipelines in modern high-level programming languages (ie, PySpark, Python, and R) capable of running in Cloudera infrastructure.
- A collaborative environment working with Data Engineers, Statistical Methodologist, Developers, and Testers
Essentials skills
- Experience in coding in at least 1 high-level programming language (eg PySpark, Python, Scala, R, SAS)
- Experience in interrogating and manipulating large volumes of data in a statistical context
- Experience in interrogating and manipulating large volumes of data using SQL
- Experience in working effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality outputs, within agreed and often pressured time scales
- Proven communication skills
Desirable (but not essential)
- Statistical, operational, or social research
- Data Science or data engineering
- Statistical computing
- ETL/BI/MI development
