Linux Infrastructure Engineer
Rate: £700 per day Inside IR35
Contract Duration: 12 months.
DVUKIC Clearance Required
Location: Gloucester or Romsey
This is an exciting opportunity to join a global Defence Company. The Linux Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for providing a primary focus on building and supporting large scale Linux deployments, your experience will cover a variety of technologies, working closely with infrastructure and development teams to understand complex problem sets and apply your skills to solve them.
Due to the nature of this position, you will be required to hold current DVUKIC Clearance
Key Responsibilities
- Extensive experience in designing, deploying, and administering Linux or Unix based solutions, using virtualization, containerization, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps tools, techniques & procedures.
- Experience in designing, deploying & troubleshooting IPv4 Networking, including Subnetting, OSPF Routing, VLANs, and VPNs
- Experience in automating tasks using Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Puppet, or Python
- Experience in administering Virtualised or Containerised systems in VMWare or Docker
- Experience in using Public Cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure Experience of working within complex or high-security environments.
Desirable Qualifications
- Certified to RHCE equivalent level in one of the appropriate Linux certification bodies, for example, GIAC, LPI, Oracle, RedHat or The Linux Foundation
- CCNA/CCNP
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- VMware Certified Professional
