Harvey Nash are now inviting candidates to apply for the position of Product Lead. You will be responsible for Project Planning, Improvement activities, governance, internal and external assurance activities and managing change. You will communicate credibly with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders whilst creating effective, prioritised product descriptions and delivery plans to meet user needs in a cost effective way.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing day to day product planning and delivery on behalf of Product Owners, across a range of social security welfare benefit projects or support services and platforms.
  • Understand the relationship between your specific product and the overall delivery of the product or process.
  • Provide plans and analysis to support the production of options appraisals and business cases, so that business decisions have appropriate evidence and justification.
  • Support the development and deliver functionality for which you are responsible to meet the needs of users, managers and stakeholders.
  • Create effective, prioritised product descriptions and delivery plans to meet user needs in a cost effective way.
  • Work within recognised project management principles and approaches.
  • Understand the relationship between your specific product and overall delivery of that product and any wider systems and processes.
  • Communicate credibly with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the management of an allocated budget.

Essential Skills

  • Proven and demonstrable track record in project management and delivery in an audit related environment including setting plans and priorities for yourself and others within a project structure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to support management of stakeholders across Scottish Government and Partner organisations .
  • Ability to collate, organise, analyse and use information to plan and deliver services, products and technology improvements.
  • Experience of supporting, providing guidance to and maintaining the governance and plans for, large, complex business and technical projects using recognised project management methodologies such as Agile and Prince 2.

This role has been deemed inside IR35 regulations therefore the use of an Umbrella company is required. The rate on offer is £450/day. Candidates must hold, or have applied for, a Basic Disclosure Scotland. Please click the link to apply.
