Description

Role Overview

  • We are looking for an experienced application engineer to contribute to the development of our end-user application. This is a multi- platform (Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS and Android) application which enables users to access our secure remote browsing platform, delivering an interactive and highly usable browsing experience.
  • Within the team, you will help delivering improvements to our portfolio of high-quality and user- friendly applications, suitable for use by high-profile, global institutions. This is an opportunity to make the difference for an innovative and disruptive project which is unique and will transform cybersecurity.
  • You will be exposed to an advanced app architecture where the platform-specific layer wraps native (C++) multi-platform sub-modules accountable - amongst other things - for high- performance video/audio rendering, user interaction and low-level networking for authentication and streaming.
  • You will be involved in writing high-quality code and improving the existing code base focusing on maintainability, automation and supportability (eg code refactoring, code peer-review, unit test development).
  • You will also help improving our CI infrastructure to test application behaviour and catch regressions as soon as they appear.

Requirements

  • Experience in developing complex end-user applications, with multi-process components and interaction with Back End services through REST APIs and low-level sockets.
  • Development experience across one or more of our target desktop platforms using C++ (must be proficient).
  • Experience in designing and writing testable code (must be knowledgeable about modern testing frameworks and paradigms).
  • Demonstrable knowledge of core computer science concepts such as concurrency, networking, security, performance and algorithms.
  • Mobile Development iOS (Objective-C/C++ and Swift) and Android (Kotlin and NDK)
  • Continuous Integration - including exposure to Gitlab pipelines and Docker/Kubernetes would be a nice to have.
