Description

DevOps Consultant | Manchester | £450-£550 per day | outside IR35

Based near Manchester or Leeds and looking for your next contract within DevOps? Read on.

Who will you be working with?

A software consultancy with an outstanding reputation for Agile project delivery under challenging circumstances. They embed themselves within the culture of their clients before developing and delivering software which makes a real difference. People are noticing; they're winning major new projects across the North. As a result, they need more good people.

You must live within commutable distance of Manchester or Leeds. A number of their projects require you to be eligible for Security Clearance, meaning you'll have lived in the UK for (most of) the past five years.

What will you be working on?

Substantial digital transformation projects within major public and private sector organisations, from government departments through to some of the UK's best known brands. You'll get stuck into significant work from the outset: migrations to microservices, public cloud, new product conception/design/deployment.

What will you bring to the table?

You'll be a subject matter in DevOps/Platform/Site Reliability Engineering with at least 8-10 years of commercial IT experience.

Common tooling you'll encounter:

  • Infrastructure as Code - CloudFormation/Terraform
  • Cloud - AWS/Azure/GCP
  • Development environments - Java/.NET
  • CI/CD & config management - Jenkins/Ansible/Chef
  • Monitoring - Nagios/Grafana/Prometheus

They particularly like speaking with people who are passionate about open source technologies and individuals who've worked across a range of domains.

Why should I consider this opportunity?

  • Day rate of £
  • Outside IR35
  • 6-12 month initial contract

It's been a successful few years for the team and they have multiple long term projects on-going in the North West. They operate to a flexible associate model; if you want years of work it will be there, but if you want to dip in and out you will always be welcomed back to future projects.
