The Agile Business Analysts will be Embedded within the scrum team analysing and defining the user needs of the Product Owners and translating those needs into user stories and requirements for the dev team to implement.

The scrum team is one of a number of scrum teams operating within a scaled agile framework requiring the Business Analyst to work closely with other scrum teams to ensure a cohesion of user needs being captured, and feature builds.

The Agile Business Analyst should have a proven track record in the technology field and capable of working within an agile scrum team and within an existing governance/change management framework.

You must have strong experience with Agile methodology, writing user stories, managing scrum calls, prioritising backlog, etc. You will have a track record of working in large, fast-paced technology programmes to help us to work on the systems analysis, design, build and test of the evolving system solution.

The programme is large and diverse, working with multiple technologies, you will need a flexible approach and be comfortable working in a dynamic fast paced environment, (comfortable working with uncertainty) working collaboratively with members of the team and the Partner organisations. You will have an eye for detail and a strong focus on systems analysis, and managing technical requirements. This project is demanding in terms of its delivery timeframes and to be successful you must quickly settle into the team structure and begin delivering to a high level of quality.

  • Lean design principles & Agile (SAFE) delivery
  • An ability to understand complex, technical concepts and translate them into simple, accessible content.
  • Extensive Business Analysis experience working within agile delivery, ideally familiar with scaled frameworks such as SAFe.
  • Excellent knowledge of JIRA/Confluence and creating requisite issues and describing them sufficiently in Confluence.
  • The candidate must have worked on critical application developments within a finance or government organisation
  • Structured Problem solver - document and solve problems rapidly
  • Facilitation skills: workshops and meetings
  • Strong technical skills with a good technical understanding of IT Infrastructure, software development
  • Strong understanding of supporting processes such as release management, automated testing, continuous integration
  • Skilled at distilling complex concepts into simple diagrams and descriptions.
